COMMISSION REFERS MURDER CONVICTION OF JUVENILE B TO COURT OF APPEAL


The Criminal Cases Review Commission has referred the conviction of a man, convicted of murder when he was 17 years old, to the Court of Appeal.
The man was convicted at Chelmsford Crown Court on 10 October 1997, of the murder of a 75 years old man, and sentenced to be detained at Her Majesty's Pleasure.

His appeal against conviction was dismissed by the Court of Appeal on 24 July 1998.

The man applied to the Criminal Cases Review Commission on 9 March 1999 for a review of his conviction.
